WSET Level 1 Award in Wines Online & Live

This class covers the main types of wine, the most common grape varieties, wine service, storing and serving wine, tasting technique, how to describe the smell and taste of wine, and the basics of pairing food and wine. During the class, you will taste eight different wines. Three weeks after the full-day course, you will take an online, remotely invigilated 45-minute, multiple choice exam. Those who pass the exam receive the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines. This course is priced at $350, online & live (recordings available) with wine samples included in the price. Also includes all WSET study materials, wine tasting samples selected by Jay Youmans MW, online class session guided by a CWS instructor, and the examination. The course consists of six guided learning hours, including fourty-five minutes for the examination. On March 12th, you may pick up your wine sample and study guide between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. by appointment. On March 13th, full day online course from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a short break for lunch. April 6th is the online, remotely invigilated exam from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Students who are unable to come to the school to pick up their wine samples may have their materials shipped to them for an additional shipping fee; please email [email protected] for more information.
