La Coop Coffee, a proudly run family business, has opened their doors to the DC community. Spearheaded by Juan Luis Salazar Cano, the new spot prides itself on Cano's Guatemalan heritage and places community at the forefront of La Coop Coffee. In the interest of combing authenticity and community, Juan Luis brought together local coffee farmers from his hometown and created the Association of Coffee Growers of Union Cantinil. Consequently, this is where all of the coffee is sourced from at La Coop. Guests have the opportunity to order caffeinated beverages a la carté or purchase a bag of beans.
