RED BULL SPIN OFF DC
Red Bull Spin Off is set to make a splash in the nation’s capital this summer, bringing a high-energy tandem bicycle challenge to the waterfront at The Wharf on June 27. As part of Washington, D.C.’s 250th anniversary celebrations and the kickoff to Fourth of July festivities, the event will feature teams of two racing custom-built, non-motorized bikes across a floating obstacle course where creativity, showmanship, and speed all come into play. Inspired by Red Bull’s Stalen Ros series in Europe, the spectacle blends engineering and entertainment, with wipeouts expected and encouraged as part of the fun. Up to 20,000 spectators are anticipated to attend, while teams from across the country can apply through May 3 by submitting their bike designs and concepts. Announced at a press conference at The Wharf, the free event highlights the destination’s role as a hub for large-scale, immersive experiences, with dynamic course elements set against the Washington Channel and designed to reflect the culture, energy, and creativity of D.C.
