Fairmont Washington, D.C. Georgetown’s 22nd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
2401 M Street NW
Celebrate the spirit of the season at the Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown’s 22nd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, taking place in the hotel’s picturesque courtyard on Tuesday, December 2nd at 5:30 PM.
The courtyard will transform into a glittering crystal garden of white lights and festive décor, setting the stage for an evening of holiday cheer. Guests can enjoy live performances of seasonal favorites by the award-winning Georgetown Visitation Madrigals, while families warm up by outdoor heaters, decorate holiday cards, and indulge in sweet treats.
A Master of Ceremonies and special guests will welcome Santa Claus, who will greet children and listen to their Christmas wishes beside the hotel’s life-size Gingerbread House.
This free, family-friendly event also supports Horton’s Kids, a local nonprofit serving over 500 children in under-resourced communities. Guests are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped gifts such as toys, books, or games to help spread holiday joy. Donations will be accepted from November 27 through December 10.
