Latin Restaurant Weeks, a national initiative and celebration that highlights Latin restaurants, chefs, cafes, coffee shops, food trucks, and bakeries in cities across the country, kicks off May 3 and runs through May 17 here in DC. Dozens of participants will offer special deals and menus showcasing flavors and culinary techniques from more than 10 Latin countries - Brazil, Peru, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Mexico, and more are represented throughout the DMV. Latin Restaurant Weeks will highlight the culinary businesses and the stories behind them, like D.C.’s award-winning Peruvian Brothers and the women-owned tamale pop-up La Patrona Tamales y Comida Mexicana in Maryland, fortifying their connections to the community. The growing list of participants includes El Secreto de Rosita, The Grill From Ipanema, La Famosa, Qui Qui DC, Serenata cocktail bar, and Cielo Rojo and so many more. Stay up to date on participating restaurants and their offers here.
