A Guided Tasting of vintage Sierra Nevada Bigfoot at Churchkey

Join ChurchKey on Wednesday, March 12th, for a guided tasting of four vintages of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company’s legendary Bigfoot barleywine! On this night, our good friend Chris Potter, Senior Distributor Sales Manager for Sierra Nevada, will lead you on an expedition exploring this legend in the pines. Since its debut in 1983, Bigfoot has become an icon of the early American craft beer movement. Now the benchmark of American Barleywine-style ales, it has a robust caramelized malt profile balanced by assertive bitterness from Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook hops. Over time, the beer develops complex flavors, with fresh versions showcasing pronounced hop character, while aged bottles exhibit sherry-like notes. The guided vertical tasting will feature vintages from 2006, 2012, 2018, and 2025. Tickets are $35 per guest, excluding taxes and fees. The private tasting begins at 6:00pm. Each guest will receive four (4) 4 oz. tasters of Bigfoot, plus one (1) 20 oz. pour of cask-conditioned Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
