MADD will transform the National Mall with the powerful glow of 10,000 candle lights — representing the 10,000 lives that could be saved each year if USDOT takes swift action to set a safety standard on anti-drunk driving technology. This event will be a poignant call for the USDOT to act swiftly in establishing a safety standard that would prevent drunk driving before it even begins, revolutionizing public safety.
