FOODIE & THE BEAST: OCTOBER 8TH, 2023
We raised a glass or two in the Foodie And The Beast studio this weekend to celebrate 15 years on air. 15 people! Can you believe it? Needless to say, David and I are so grateful for the opportunity to invade your airspace every week and share such incredible stories. This week we chatted with:
-Winn Roberton & Erich Stumpe of Bourbon Steak poured amazing bubbles and wines as a tribute to (us ;-D) and to Chef Michael Mina’s Annual Georgetown Wine & Dine. It's back for its second year. Year one was so amazing and you have to hear about all the Michelin-starred and James Beard Award-winning chefs who are descending on the Four Seasons Hotel this year.
-The team behind Yume Sushi in Arlington, Virginia, has ventured into DC - Cady’s Alley specifically - with the opening of their new restaurant, Kyojin. Chef Peter Kannasute and co-owner Jeff King joined us with so much sushi … so much sushi … so much to discuss.
-Vintage Lovers, We Got You: Suzanne Eblen & Amy White of Lucketts Old Store sit down with us to share the details for the annual Lucketts Fall Vintage Market at the Clarke County Fairgrounds. We are ready to get pickin’.
-Chef Matt Smith, the new Executive Chef at Alta Strada Mosaic, was born for James-Beard award-winning Chef Michael Schlow’s wish to share his love and passion for Italian food. There are mouth-watering new dishes for the new season, and we talk about executing someone else's vision while staying true to yourself..
That’s Foodie And The Beast every Sunday at 11AM on 1500AM or download here
