* Love Chinese cuisine? Ever been curious about the names of the dishes you order?  CHINESE MENU: The History, Myths, and Legends Behind Your Favorite American Chinese Foods is the new book from award-winning, children’s book author and NY Times bestselling author/illustrator, Grace Lin. The book is an incredible read, with wonderful illustrations and Grace Lin filled our studio with wonderful anecdotes from her book.
 
* For dog lovers and dog lover wannabes, there’s nothing cooler than Bark Social at Pike & Rose in Rockville. At its core, Bark Social is a bar for dog lovers, where dogs are encouraged but not required. An indoor/outdoor venue, Bark Social hosts a professionally monitored off-leash dog park and features a fully stocked beer garden & bar as well as coffee bar offering bites for both humans and pups. Luke Silverman, Founder & CEO is a doggone genius.
 
* Alak Vasa is a true Renaissance woman and citizen of the world. The Founder of Element Truffles, she donates much of her profits to helping disadvantaged children.  -A wellness and meditation instructor, her mission is to create a stress-free and violence-free society through individual empowerment. As such, she’s helping to promote awareness of and attendance at the upcoming, World Culture Festival, a three-day event giving people a chance to renew, groove, dance, sing, and connect with millions of others who long for more unity. Alak Vasa takes our blood pressure down.
