The RAMMYS Are Heading to The Wharf

The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington just dropped some big news: The RAMMYS Awards & Gala are moving to The Wharf on June 29, 2026, and the region’s biggest night in hospitality is getting a serious glow-up. For the first time ever, the 44th annual RAMMYS Awards ceremony will take place at Arena Stage, creating a more intimate space for finalists, winners, and industry leaders to celebrate the people shaping the DMV’s dining scene. And, then! Because this is the restaurant industry after all, the party will keep going just across the street at The Anthem, where the post-awards celebration is set to be bigger and more energetic than ever.

The Wharf’s vibrant hospitality district provides the perfect backdrop for the celebration, while Arena Stage offers a setting that allows the ceremony itself to truly focus on honoring the region’s talent. After the awards are handed out, the action shifts to The Anthem, where the broader hospitality community will come together to celebrate the people powering DC’s restaurant scene.

The change marks a milestone for The RAMMYS, which over the past four decades have become the DMV’s most prestigious recognition of culinary excellence, drawing chefs, restaurateurs, beverage pros, industry insiders, and food lovers together for one big night of celebration.

Another new twist this year: RAMMYS semi-finalists will be announced publicly for the first time, giving even more visibility to the individuals and businesses helping shape the region’s dining landscape.

During RAMW’s recent State of the Plate announcement, the organization also revealed the five finalists for the Joan Hisaoka Allied Member of the Year Award, which recognizes an associate member who has gone above and beyond in supporting the industry. This year’s finalists are:
