Kids World in Franklin Park
1332 I Street NW
The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) proudly announces the return of Kids World, an imaginative, two-day celebration transforming downtown Washington, DC into a playground of creativity, learning, and family fun on July 26 and 27. Now in its third year, Kids World brings together over 35 immersive experiences across Franklin Park and “I” Street, creating an exciting hub for children, teens, and families. With STEAM experiments, fitness challenges, superhero workouts, crafts, and live performances, the event is the only experience of its kind in the city designed exclusively for young residents. New this year are standout features such as Baby Yoga, the Book Bike, a Grand Safari reptile show, a giant gumball machine, and a collaborative 6-foot coloring corner, enhancing returning favorites like the Bubble Garden, Secret Garden Maze, and Candy Island. From a main stage spotlighting young performers to storybook meet-and-greets and classic lawn games, every corner of Kids World sparks joy and discovery. The free event is part of the BID’s larger mission to activate public spaces, support local business, and position Franklin Park as a go-to destination for families across the region. Presented by Events DC with support from DC Public Library Foundation and Amazon, Kids World continues to grow as a signature summer tradition, with all activities open to the public and select experiences available through advance registration.
