Master Chef with Celebrated Pastry Chef Padua Player: Opulent Pots & Petals Spring Cake Class

Join celebrated pastry chef Padua Player for a hands-on spring cake decorating class on March 29 from 12:00–3:00 PM at Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital. In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will carve a flower pot–shaped chocolate cake, frost it with pastel buttercream, and decorate it with faux floral toppers to create a festive spring centerpiece. Guests will also enjoy a glass of sparkling wine while learning decorative piping techniques and creative cake design.

Chef Padua’s acclaimed pastry work has been featured on Holiday Baking Championship, Sweet Genius, Cake Hunters, and Chopped. Known for his vibrant personality and intricate cake artistry, he previously won the 2013 Capital Food Fight High Stakes Cake Battle hosted by Duff Goldman.

Participants should bring an apron, an appetite, and a sweet tooth. Although this session is sold out, it highlights the popular hands-on baking experiences offered through Chef Padua’s classes.
