Chef Christian Irabién was on track to launch his restaurant, located in Chevy Chase, when the COVID-19 outbreaks placed a sharp halt on the process. As the kitchen had already been carved out, chef Irabién and his team made the decision to launch Muchas Gracias in the meantime; a Latin-inspired mercado offering grocery items along with a daily menu representative of chef's childhood in both Mexico and Texas. While the larger restaurant remains on hold, guests can either choose to have a contactless pickup or delivery. Some standout dishes from the new pop-up include the homemade guacamole and tortilla chips, chicken tinga verde, and the short-rib taco platter.
