Are You Restaurant Week Ready? We Are! (A Primer!)

Buzz
The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington is ready for Summer Restaurant Week, and once again, they have an amazing roster of participating restaurants. Mark your calendar and make your reservations from Monday, August 12, through Sunday, August 18.

* Specially priced menus are offered throughout DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. This is an excellent time to visit some of those restaurants that may be out of your price range or that you haven’t had a chance to check out yet.
* Participating restaurants offer multi-course brunch and lunch menus with updated tiered pricing for $25 or $35 per person and multi-course dinner menus for $40, $55, or $65 per person.
* Many restaurants also offer cocktail, wine, and non-alcoholic pairings.
* So many new restaurants are in the mix this year, including Claudio Stable, dLeña, ilili, Lucy Bar, Mallard, Namak and Pastis.
* AND a bevy of your favorite restaurants are also offering delicious menus like Annabelle, Dauphine’s, Kaz Sushi Bistro, Mi Vida, Ometeo, Perry’s, Reveler’s Hour and The Duck & The Peach.

Now let’s talk the do’s & don’ts of Restaurant Week:
* DO your homework and look at menu offerings and prices online. Some places offer their whole menu and some offer special RW menus — Know before you go.
* DO leave generous gratuity — people are working just as hard.
* DON’T show up without a reservation.
* DON’T be unkind — staffing shortages are still real.
* DO know that many restaurants extend their price offerings throughout August. Check your favorite restaurant websites for details.
