Get ready to celebrate Mardi Gras 2025 with lively parades, festive parties, and mouthwatering Creole-inspired cuisine here in the DC area. This year, venues are pulling out all the stops with the traditional favorites—think gumbo, jambalaya, and, of course, beignets.

Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken: In celebration of Mardi Gras, Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken is bringing back the King Cake Doughnut. The festive doughnut topped with purple, green, and gold sprinkles is available for $5 for pre-order on Tuesday, March 4th and in-store with limited quantities available. Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar, & Eatery: Celebrate Mardi Gras on Tuesday, March 4th, with authentic parade food, drink specials, and live music. Enjoy crawfish Monica, Gulf shrimp jambalaya, chicken andouille gumbo, muff-a-lotta, and red beans & rice. Drinks like Hurricanes, King Cake Daiquiri, NOLA Swinger, and Abita Beer will be available for additional purchase. Breaux Vineyards: Celebrate Mardi Gras with your Cajun cousins at Breaux Vineyards on Saturday, March 1st! Samedi Gras is a Saturday celebration starting at 11:00 a.m. of the traditional New Orleans Mardi Gras, and a festive and lively event not to be missed. Their annual Samedi Gras Celebration takes place in their NOLA-style tasting room.
