In recognition of PRIDE Month, Columbia Room will offer the +1, a specialty cocktail, for the month of June with a portion of proceeds benefitting the Transgender Law Center. The +1 ($16) is a take on a vodka soda, using green tea to give it an earthy flavor and lime acid to offer a sharp edge. Manzanilla sherry balances the tea and the lime acid, which enhances the cocktail’s fizzy-ness. The name of the cocktail is a nod to DC’s first gay-owned bar to allow same-sex dancing.
