BIG DRAW Festival at The National Building Museum

When:
April 20,2024 – April 20,2024 all-day
Where:
National Building Museum
401 F Street NW

The National Building Museum hosts BIG DRAW, a free day-long festival that invites you to discover the world we design and build through drawing. The event complements the Museum’s new long-term exhibition Building Stories, that explores the world of architecture, engineering, construction, and design through the lens of children’s books. Caldecott Medal award-winning author and illustrator David Macaulay will engage with you and will lead two drawing workshops to teach you how to understand scale and perspective. Throughout this day of drawing, you can engage in quick drawing prompts, contribute to a community mural, contribute to Positive Chalk’s “Chalk Walk,” and attend lightning talks with engineering, architecture, and design professionals. The Big Cheese food truck will be located outside the Museum on G street all day to satiate hungry artists. To register, click here.
