Calico: Arts and Drafts

Before COVID, Blagden Alley’s urban backyard Calico hosted "Arts & Drafts" on Mondays, where guests could craft for free — learning how to make everything from teacup candles, confetti dot vases, paper flower crowns, jewelry, origami, string art and more – over discounted draft drinks. With the bar closed, Calico has taken the weekly demos online, hosting free craft classes every Monday at 6:30pm. Calico provides the complimentary craft supplies – all online orders (via their website, Caviar, DoorDash, Tock) come with free materials for the week’s project. Upcoming classes include Macramé Plant Hangers on May 18 and May 25. Calico has also created the perfect happy hour pack for that virtual craft class – featuring specials such as: Calico Combo (Miller High Life + Old Overholt + Brownie or Cookie) for $6, a Mix-and-Match 6-Pack of Juice Boxes for $40 , half-priced 6-packs of beer, and for those who find solace and catharsis in coloring, Calico also sells customized Coloring Books ($4) which includes 20 coloring pages and colored pencils.
