While the wines of Greece have been garnering much overdue attention in recent years, the wines from Crete - Greece's third largest wine producing region - still remain relatively unknown to all but a fortunate few. Chrisa Giorgi - a Cretan native - aims to change this with her new documentary "In the Wine Dark Sea", which has received awaeds from several international film festivals and is now available to rent or purchase on Amazon Prime. In this class, you will join Chrisa for an in-person tasting of native Cretan varietals such as Vidiano, Vilana, Mandilaria, and Kotsifali, as well as some international varietals that perform very well in Cretan soil; you will taste 10 different wines. Tickets are priced at $85 per person, and can be reserved here. Class will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
