In celebration of National Meatball Day, Carmine's in Penn Quarter is rolling back the price of an order of meatballs to $12.95, what the huge orbs cost in 1990 when the original New York restaurant was founded. An order includes six 7-ounce ground beef and veal meatballs, often described as the size of a tennis ball, are seasoned with herbs and Romano cheese, served with Carmine's made in-house Marinara Sauce.
