Casamara x Uchi DC Collaboration Pop-Up Dinner
1337 Connecticut Ave NW
Austin-based restaurant group Hai Hospitality is revealing new details about the DC opening of its celebrated sushi-focused concept, Uchi, announcing a preview pop-up dinner and naming a locally recognized chef de cuisine for the much-anticipated Dupont Circle restaurant opening this spring.
Rob Drennan, a former senior culinary director for DC’s Rose’s Restaurant Group (Rose’s Luxury, Pineapple and Pearls, Little Pearl), and veteran of three-Michelin-starred Maeemo in Oslo and Haku in Hong Kong, will take the helm at Uchi DC, set to open this spring at 1700 M St. NW.
Diners can get their first taste of Uchi DC on April 14th, when the acclaimed restaurant teams up with Casamara for a one-night pop-up dinner previewing Uchi’s inventive approach to sushi alongside the coastal-inflected fare that’s made Casamara a hit. The multi-course dinner is priced at $125.00 (not inclusive of tax and tip) and will feature an exclusive tasting of Uchi’s own sake.
Tickets for the dinner are on sale now and can be purchased HERE.
