Enjoy a very special date night from the newest member of the Neighborhood Provisions team: Autumn Cline. Most recently, Cline served as Executive Chef at Rappahannock Oyster Bar, co-chef of Emilie’s on Capitol Hill, and as a line cook at the Michelin-starred Rose’s Luxury. She’s recently taken the helm at Evening Star Cafe, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome her to the family. Her first order of business is Date Night. Cline’s southern Virginia roots combine with her French classically trained culinary style to bring you three courses of elevated, comforting fare this weekend. The menu includes: Five Spice Chicken Liver Pate with grilled baguette or
Seared Baby Sweet Potato with cilantro pistou, whipped feta, bbq candied pepitas; Coq au Vin with grilled chicken thigh, roasted root vegetables, lardon, crushed potatoes or Trout Almondine with haricot verts; and Bananas Foster Upside Down Rum Cake. Spirits Director Nick Farrell is pulling out all the stops for Chef Cline’s Date Night pairings with All Stirred Up (pecan-infused aged rum, bananas, banana liqueur, cardamaro, bitters) and 5 Spice Sidecar (5 Spice Infused Cognac, Orange Liqueur, Lemon). Meanwhile, Beverage Director Greg Engert has two very special Wild & Mixed Fermentation Ales on deck from Jester King and Jolly Pumpkin, alongside a menu of wines that will pair swimmingly with Cline’s menu.
