Christmas Day Feast At Estuary

On Christmas Day, the Conrad DC will host its first-ever feast at Estuary, a festive and celebratory meal inspired by family gatherings enjoyed by Bryan and Michael Voltaggio. Designed to be both interactive and family-style, you will start your meal at the kitchen’s pass where you can mingle and enjoy a raw bar featuring a selection of seafood including shrimp cocktail, oysters from the Chesapeake Bay and tuna tartare. The sit-down portion of the meal includes individual appetizers and entrees, which you select along with an array of sides served family-style. Appetizer options include the restaurant’s popular Maryland crab roll, Brussels sprouts with burrata, pork skin and fish sauce vinaigrette and a Chestnut Velouté made with black trumpet mushrooms, aerated taleggio and crispy chicken skins. Entrée selections include duck with orange braised endive, sunchokes, watercress, and black winter truffle, chatham cod with spaghetti squash cacio e pepe, pea tendril and pumpkin seed pesto and an aged roseda beef rib eye served with glazed Nantes Carrots, charred onions and beef chicharron. Sides for the table feature an array of holiday-inspired favorites, all of which will be served family-style, including green bean casserole with shitake mushrooms, mac and cheese made with rigatoni and aerated cheddar cheese, and more. The meal finishes with an interactive dessert station featuring a modern take on holiday classics like an eggnog choux, peppermint cremeux tart, redcurrant and caramel bouche de Noel and more. The meal, exclusive of tax and gratuity, is priced at $115 per person and $40 for children age 12 and under. A credit card is required for advance reservations and a $50 fee will be charged for cancellations received seven days prior. In addition to Christmas Day service, Estuary will also serve its popular a la carte brunch on December 26. Available between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., festive champagne cocktails made tableside will also be available throughout brunch service.
