Cocktails and Conversation with Michael W. Twitty

On Saturday, July 26 at 7 PM, the Folger Shakespeare Library hosts its next installment of Cocktails and Conversation featuring Michael W. Twitty—James Beard Award–winning writer, culinary historian, and educator.

Known for his appearances on High on the Hog, Taste the Nation, and Bizarre Foods America, Twitty will lead an engaging discussion on Southern foodways and their deep cultural roots. Guests will enjoy curated summer cocktails from Quill & Crumb in the Folger Reading Room, followed by a book signing and informal meet-and-greet.

Twitty’s The Cooking Gene was awarded both Book of the Year and the Writing Award at the 2018 James Beard Foundation Awards.
