DC’s only authentic Swiss restaurant, Stable, is offering an escape to Switzerland complete with cozy ski chalets and a special New Year’s Eve menu offering a build-your-own-experience. You may order à la carte from a limited menu including Venison Loin served with spätzli, braised red cabbage, and caramelized chestnuts; Pan-Seared Branzino with braised Belgian endive, butternut squash, and roasted beetroot; and Veal Zürich Style with potato rösti, champignons, and cream sauce. If you are looking for a multi-course meal, Stable is offering prix fixe options starring their signature fondue. The prix fixe menu includes a glass of Simonet Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine and your choice of one appetizer, fondue, and dessert. Fans of fondue will be delighted to find Fondue Chinoise (24-hour prior notice required, $64 per person, $42 à la carte), a meat fondue with a rich beef broth served with sliced beef and veal tenderloin and accompanied by dipping sauces and pommes frites available. You can also opt for the classic cheese fondue that has become Stable’s signature for their prix fixe fondue ($52 per person) or may order any fondue à la carte. Last but certainly not least, Stable’s Raclette Dinner Experience ($35 per person, 4 person minimum, 24-hour prior notice required) featuring unlimited melted Raclette cheese, boiled New Potatoes, pickles, and green salad will also be available for the evening.
