Donnafugata Wine Dinner

BlackSalt Restaurant in partnership with Ace Beverage is excited to host a Celebration of Sicily with Donnafugata wines. The Rallo family are fourth & fifth generation wine producers in Sicily. They have vineyards throughout the island that highlight its diversity of grapes, terroir & winemaking styles. Donnafugata was established in 1983 by Giacomo & Gabriella Rallo who had a passion for Sicilian wine passed down from previous generations. Giacomo focused on the business end while Gabriella focused on the winemaking. The couple served as leaders in the Sicilian winemaking community as a whole, establishing industry organizations and encouraging innovation to raise Sicilian wines to the level of other internationally recognized regions. This held true until 2016 when their children Josè & Antonio took on co-leadership roles at Donnafugata upon Giacomo's death. Today, daughter Josè runs the business side, while Antonio focuses on the agriculture and winemaking. Both continue the same passion and commitment to leadership to their winery and community as their parents. Come celebrate the passion for the diversity of Sicily and the value shown in Donnafugata wines.
