Chef Jenn Crovato hosts Book Editor, Photography Collector & Curator, Christopher Murray, for Monumental Rock & Roll Presentation and “Elvis” book release, exclusively at 1310 Kitchen & Bar. Shutterbugs and melophiles in the DMV will flock to 1310 Kitchen & Bar with its leading lady, Chef Jenn Crovato, for a one-night-only pop-up revival of the legendary Govinda Gallery, "Sound and Vision: Monumental Rock & Roll Photography," and the new release of an original hardback photo book on Elvis Presley. Beginning in the 70s, visionary curator Christopher Murray of the beloved Georgetown gallery, organized in its heyday more than two-hundred and fifty exhibitions, showcasing world renowned artists like Andy Warhol and the first exhibition for Annie Leibovitz. The evening will be guided by Murray, who will discuss the dynamic relationship between renowned photographers and the most epoch-making musical artists of the last six decades – exploring the stories behind iconic forty images that have helped define the visual culture of our times. Tickets will be available soon for purchase – $75 per person, includes entry to the Sound and Vision showcase with Q&A and book signing, one complimentary cocktail – the Janis Joplin inspired “Bobby McGee” [Southern Comfort Old Fashioned,] and selection of appetizers.
