Hoptoberfest at Caboose Commons
2918 Eskridge Road, Fairfax VA
On Saturday, September 17th, Fairfax’s Caboose Commons is hosting Hoptoberfest. Part Oktoberfest celebration, part hop harvest and part birthday celebration, this all day festival will feature tastes from many local breweries, as well as cocktails, wine, food, live music and fun for the whole family. Unique to this event, those patrons who grew hops from Caboose this year are invited to come early (11:00 a.m.) to harvest their hops before joining Brandon, one of Caboose Brewing Company’s brewers, who will start brewing this year’s small batch Community Hops beer around noon. This year’s festival will feature beers from local breweries on site (Lost Barrel Brewing, Vasen Brewing Company, Tucked Away Brewing Company, Dynasty Brewing Company and House 6 Brewing Company). Local DC cover band Half Pint Harry will perform between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. In honor of Caboose Commons turning four, a kids bouncy house and free cake slices (while supplies last!) will be on hand. Chef David Rabin will be grilling traditional bratwurst out front, with the full food menu also available. Tickets are $2 each the day of the festival, or buy online now and save twenty percent. Guest beer tasters are one ticket, Caboose Märzen 12oz pours are two tickets, guest beer 12oz pours are three tickets, and bratwursts are four tickets each. The whole event will take place on Saturday, September 17th, from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. For tickets and more information, please click here.
