It’s Only Natural: A Tu B’Shvat Seder
Virtual Event
Celebrate the New Year of the Trees by creating your own Tu B’Shvat seder, a ritual that began with the Kabbalists of the 16th century. At Sixth & I's virtual seder led by Rabbi Nora, you’ll explore nature-inspired texts to discover connections between environmentalism and Judaism, learn the basics of Kabbalah, and explore the symbolism behind the fruit, nuts, and four cups of wine we enjoy on this holiday. Create your own DIY seder with red and white wine or grape juice; first fruit: walnuts, coconuts, or almonds; second fruit: olives, dates, peaches, or apricots; third fruit: figs, grapes, or raisins; and fourth fruit: mangos, bananas, or avocados. $12 per person or free for those who really want to learn Torah, but their budget is a little tight right now. January 19th at 7:00 p.m. EST. For more information or to sign up, please click here.
