Juneteenth Kickoff Happy Hour at Mélange Foods, Inc.

Mélange Foods, Inc. – Chef Elias Taddesse’s multi-concept restaurant tucked inside Shaw’s Atlantic Plumbing building – will host a Juneteenth Kickoff Happy Hour on Wednesday, June 18th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., set on the restaurant’s open-air bar patio. From Ethiopia, Taddesse is best known for blending the flavors of his homeland with soul food staples. The evening will feature a live set by local DJ Lelynd Darkes, craft cocktails, and a curated tasting menu bringing together highlights from Mélange’s trio of culinary experiences. From Doro Soul Food, fan-favorites like spiced mac and cheese, collard greens, and potato salad will be available. At Mélange DC, get The Classic burger with American cheese, pickled red onions, and brown butter aioli. Last but not least, Moya will be serving Goden Tibs Taco topped with confit shallot, pickled jalapeno, and rosemary crema. This festive celebration is open to the public and free with RSVP.
