King Street Art Festival

Historic Old Town Alexandria will transform into an art-lover's paradise. More than 200 local and national artists will display their works in a prestigious show encompassing fine jewelry, exquisite works of art and handcrafted apparel and decor. During this community festival, art enthusiasts discover spectacular paintings, life-size sculptures, jewelry, glasswork, photography, ceramics and more. More than $15 million in art will be on display during the two-day, outdoor art gallery event. All artists will be on-site for the duration of the festival, allowing visitors to discover the inspiration behind each original piece. A variety of interactive activities will be offered throughout the weekend, including The Art League’s popular Ice Cream Bowl Fundraiser. There will be 1,400 handmade bowls created by the talented artists of The Art League’s ceramics department and enjoy a scoop of ice cream, all for only $15 per bowl, with the proceeds benefiting The Art League ceramics department. Take a break at the Torpedo Factory Art Center’s 2nd Annual Beer & Wine Torpedo Garden. Enjoy a glass of craft beer or wine while exploring all three floors and 82 artists’ studios. Meet the artists and find original art created on-site. Recharge and refresh with exhibitions, games, hands-on activities and music. This event is free and open to the public. On Saturday the festival is open from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. For more information click here.
