From field to glass, American beer is vulnerable to the varied effects of a changing climate. Nevertheless, women in the industry are at the forefront of making American beer resilient, responsive, and environmentally and socially sustainable. Join the Smithsonian for a conversation with Andrea Stanley, Victoria Garza, Denise Ford-Sawadogo, and Morgan Owle-Crisp. Staff will also showcase selected objects and archival materials collected from the recently closed Anchor Brewing Co. of San Francisco, California. Attendees will enjoy small bites as well as eight five-ounce samples of beer. Tickets $40 per person; purchase here. 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.
