MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Online Class: Irish Artisans March 17
Online Class
It must be the luck 'o the Irish that this class falls on St. Patrick's Day. Join Cheese Lady Jill Erber to learn about the history—and current landscape—of Irish cheesemaking while tasting five artisan cheeses and a perfectly-paired Irish Red Ale. Your class kit will serve two to four people and include buttery Cooleeney Dúnbarra Peppered Farmstead Brie (pasteurized cow), earthy, mellow Mossfield (pasteurized cow), aged Durrus Dunmanus (raw cow), super-rare Oak-Smoked Gubben (pasteurized cow), and delicately pungent Milleens (pasteurized cow). The cheeses will be accompanied by a mini loaf of Chef Natasha's Homemade Irish Soda Bread and traditional Irish accompaniment, Ballymaloe tomato & sultana relish. The paired beer is the O'Hara's Irish Red Ale, whose caramel notes, effervescence, and acidity make it an ideal accent. Irish Red Ale has been made in Ireland since 1702 and is a delicious tradition indeed. This ale comes in a four-pack of 11.2 ounce bottles and is available as an add-on for $16.99. $59.99 per class kit. Class kits are available for shipping and local pick up. Order for shipping by 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13th. This virtual class will take place on March 17th, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. EST. For more information or to register, please click here.
