On Thursday, January 18th, a sisterhood of women brings together a spy, a chef, and a sommelier to gather for a very special Evening in Espionage showcasing the important role wine and spirits played in the day-to-day operations of two CIA field officers. A blind tasting of four wines selected by CIA agents will be offered, and a tour in certain blocks of lower Georgetown with tales of covert tactics will be presented by former CIA officer, Rosanna Minchew, and visiting sommelier, DECANTER/1 [C/1.] [To protect her identity as a CIA operative she’s been given an encrypted codename.] They join chef and owner, Jenn Crovato, in her restaurant, where she will be serving a curated charcuterie and cheese board while guests enjoy four old and new world vintages. Tickets $85+ per person and include a 45-minute walking tour and one hour blind tasting. Purchase here. 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
