In celebration of National Oyster Day, All Set Restaurant & Bar is paying tribute to the bivalve by hosting their inaugural oyster eating contest. You will compete for the chance to win a free dozen oysters a day for one calendar year at All Set, All Set & Money Muscle merchandise, their photo posted on All Set social media, & ultimate bragging rights as the DMV’s incumbent oyster-eating champion.
The competition is from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., where heats of five will have one minute to eat as many oysters as possible. All Set’s panel of judges will be responsible for counting the amount of oysters consumed by each contestant and meting out punishments for those who violate the competition’s rules by leaving oyster meat on the shell or expelling oysters from their mouth. Owner and head chef Ed Reavis will kick off the competition with an oyster shucking demonstration.
