Eminent historian Marcia Chatelain will be discussing her widely acclaimed book Franchise: The Golden Arches in Black Amerisa with beloved Chef/TV host Carla Hall as part of the ongoing Benjamin Drummond Emancipation Day Forum. This moderated, in-depth conversation will examine the intricate relationship among African American politicians, civil rights organizations, communities, and the fast food industry as it relates to the history of American racism and the struggle for civil rights.
