Royal Ascot Garden Party and English Afternoon Tea at Fairmont Washington DC

The Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown invites you to experience the elegance and pageantry of Royal Ascot without crossing the pond. From 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., the hotel’s Loggia and garden courtyard will be transformed into a glamorous Royal Ascot Enclosure, complete with large-screen broadcasts of Ladies’ Day scenes from the races in the UK.

You will enjoy royal-inspired fare curated by Executive Chef Jaime Montes de Oca and Pastry Chef Lyndsey Barton, along with champagne, Mint Juleps, and Pimm’s Cups. A Scottish bagpiper and champagne sabering ceremony will open the festivities, and life-sized cutouts of the Royal Family will provide memorable photo ops.

Hat and fashion contests will award prizes at 4 p.m. for the most authentic, creative, and over-the-top looks, with giveaways courtesy of Jo Malone London, Jaguar Land Rover of Alexandria, and Fairmont Washington, D.C.. A millinery demonstration and pop-up shop by Elena Wittman of ArtofHats Studio will offer elegant headwear for purchase and styling tips.

Tickets are $100 per person, which includes a welcome cocktail (Pimm’s Cup or Mint Julep with Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey) and Royal Afternoon Tea fare. Additional champagne and cocktails are available for purchase.
