The Central Asian Program (CAP) at George Washintgon University is hosting their 10th Anniversary by bringing Central Asia to the heart of DC and launching its first public fundraising effor, #CAPraising. The Silk Road Festival will feature Central Asian art, culture, and food, through a variety of musical performances, arts and crafts, traditional food and drinks, Central Asian and Uyghur Community Centers, the Embassies of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, and five short film screenings.
The Silk Road Festival is park of a one-week, in person festival commemorateing a decade of CAP's achievements in advancing knowledge on and for Central Asia.
The Silk Road Festival will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission tickets for the week-long celebration are free, but donations to #CAPraising are greatly appreciated.
