Summer Soirée at Solaire Social Food Hall: Summer Kick Off and Juneteenth Celebration

From 2:00 - 8:00 p.m., Shuga x Ice will collaborate with Picnics by Peace, a local luxury picnic and events company, to host a summer kickoff and Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 21st, at Solaire Social Food Hall. The "Summer Soirée" event will feature exclusive African-inspired frozen treats from Shuga x Ice, including the official launch of their summer collaboration with Pecandy, a black-woman owned gourmet candied pecan company. Guests will be able to indulge in two limited-edition ice cream sundaes: the first features Shuga x Ice’s Vimto ice cream (red grape and raspberry flavor) and “Blueberry Muff” Pecandy pieces, and the other pairs their Love Nwantinti ice cream (malta-flavored) with Salted Caramel Pecandy pieces. Fresh fruit popsicles in Mango and Zobo Pineapple flavors will also be available, and the first 50 guests at the event will receive a free mini dessert.

Cafe Shuga will serve their signature drinks, which includes the Vanilla Moringa Latte, Milo Mocha, and Honey Sesame Ginger Latte, available as is or with a scoop of Shuga x Ice ice cream for a unique affogato experience. Other menu items include the Mint Baobab Paloma, drip coffee, and their selection of teas.

Picnics by Peace will create a luxury picnic lounge for dining and socializing, and set up a Bloom Bar where guests can create their own floral arrangements. The celebration will also feature live DJs, a photobooth, tabletop games, a pool table, and hands-on workshops by local makers and creatives.

A special menu of signature cocktails will be available at the bar for purchase, along with food specials from the diverse lineup of food hall vendors including Vegan Junk Food, Laud Shawarma, Passport Eatz, Firepit Brazilian BBQ, Platinum Amala, Passport Juices, Pau & Sophia’s Thai Kitchen, El Jefe Wood-Fired Pizza, and J&J Mex-Taqueria.
