The Giant National Capital BBQ Battle is Back for its 30th Year

Historic Pennsylvania Avenue between 3rd and 7th Streets will become the epicenter of all things BBQ perfection, as the city brings together BBQ and other summer specialties, including nationally recognized BBQ contests, popular brands, celebrity chefs, and more. For the past 30 years the Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle has signaled the start of summer with two days of amazing sights, sounds, and the sweet hickory aroma of mouth-water barbecue. Enjoy live music throughout the weekend as 30 bands bring their talents to three stages, presented by Events DC.
The high-stakes Championship Cooking Contest takes place all weekend, and all winners will be announced Sunday evening at the event's conclusion.
