The Meet at Maydan Food, Culture & Wine Festival

Join Maydan for their Food, Culture & Wine Festival in honor of World Refugee Day with proceeds benefiting Karam Foundation.This event is the first in a series of Global Food, Culture and Wine festivals hosted at Maydan and will highlight producers from the Caucasus region, North Africa, and the Middle East! 

This year's festival will feature Comparing Conflicts, Who decides when to care? a conversation with Karam Foundation executive director, Lina Sergie, on the Ukrainian and Syrian refugee crises. The conversation will be moderated by international journalist and long-time NPR host, David Greene. Tickets for the discussion are $50 per person and include a complimentary glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage, and access to the wine tasting tent and food stalls. The conversation will be held from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Also featured this year is The Why Behind Lesser Known Wine Regions, a discussion on the lack of knowledge surrounding wines of the Middle East, as led by Maydna's beverage director and sommelier, Drew Hairston, with a panel of winemakers and distributors from Lebanon and the Caususus. Tickets for the discussion are $50 per person and include a complimentary glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage, and access to the wine tasting tent and food stalls. The discussion will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. 

Regular admission tickets are available for $25 per ticket and include admission to the market, wine tasting tent and access to wine tastings from a variety of producers from Lebanon and the Caucasus, and the opportuntity to browse food and handmade wares representing the regions. The Festival and Maker's Market will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
