To Community And Beyond: Crossing Culinary Bridges With Chef Peter Prime Of Cane
442 Maple Avenue E. Vienna, VA
The country is almost a year into the pandemic and the restaurant industry has had to make countless pivots to keep up with ever changing guidelines from the CDC. In an area such as the DMV, where the culinary talent pool runs deep, the pandemic puts quite a damper on exploring this bustling hospitality scene and renders Chefs fewer chances to flex their culinary chops with expanded menus to new diners. Enter Chef Owner Jonathan Krinn of Clarity in Vienna, Virginia and his endeavor to create purposeful opportunities for DC Chefs to spread their culinary wings into Northern Virginia communities and inspire diners to maintain their excitement for trying new restaurants and unique cuisines. With ample space for socially distanced dining and an active and enthusiastic following of foodies, Chef Jon swiftly created To Community and Beyond: Crossing Culinary Bridges, a guest Chef series where some of DC’s top Chefs and neighborhood concepts cross the bridge for an evening to cook their own dishes in Chef Jon’s Clarity kitchen. For each of these evenings, the visiting Chef will cook three dishes, all available for either take-out or for indoor dining at Clarity. Proceeds from each evening go to the guest Chefs and their culinary and hospitality teams. The line-up is composed of some DC heavy hitters in ethnic dining experiences. There will be one Chef a week cooking alongside Chef Jon through the first week of March. This week's Guest Chef is Chef Peter Prime of Cane (403 H Street NE) cooking a Trinidadian cuisine.
