VALENTINE’S DAY OFFERINGS AT PAPPE

If you're in the mood for some Northern Indian fare this Valentine's Day, look no further than Executive Chef Sanjay Mandhaiya’s Pappe. The Logan Circle Indian restaurant is offering a five-course, party for two dinner this Valentine's Day. To kick off the evening, you'll be welcomed with chocolate strawberries and a champagne toast. Appetizers include vegetable samosas and crab pav, made with Goan crab cakes, soft bread, and drizzled with tamarind and mint chutney. For a second course, indulge in Chef Sanjay’s popular Alleppey fish curry, a Chilean sea bass served with curry leaves, coconut, mustard and green chilies; or mint lamb chops tinged with ginger, lemon and yogurt marinade. Third and fourth course options include a savory palak paneer with puréed spinach, garlic and onions, and a hearty daal makhani made with smoked black lentils, ghee and garam masala. End the meal with Chef Sanjay’s rendition of apple jalebi, sided with cardamom ice cream; saffron rice pudding and Indian bread pudding “Shahi Tukra”. $95 per person.
