Foodie & The Beast: December 3,2023

We totally got merry & bright in the #FoodieAndTheBeast studio. ICYMI, the DC Area is all lit up with holiday activities and markets. How better to shop than with a class of wine in hand?
  • Doron Peterson, known to all for her plant-based bakery, Sticky Fingers is also a are board members of Re:HER, a women-led, national organization promoting and working with women who own and lead food and beverage businesses. RE:Her is sponsoring its second,  annual Holiday Market on Monday, December 11th at Cork Wine Bar and all us ladies are going to be there.
  • It really doesn’t feel like the holiday season until you head down to Penn Quarter and walk and shop the  Downtown Holiday Market. 70 vendors this year! Ebony Walton, Ebony Walton, Acting Director of Marketing & Communications, Downtown DC BID, has all the delish details.
  • We were sent a Moveable Feast dinner party featuring a menu and meal designed by Chef Phil Whitemarsh of New Orleans Jewel of the South and it was amazing! In less than 30 minutes thanks to the easy guidance and incredible packaging we did indeed feast! This a nationwide subscription and a la carte service that creates and delivers exclusive dinner parties in collaboration with America's most celebrated and award-winning restaurants makes for an incredibly thoughtful gift. Cofounder John Stubbs joins us with how to execute a party meal anywhere.
  • Georgetown GLOW is a totally different kind of feast — one for the senses, featuring contemporary public art, amazing shopping, an outdoor holiday market and events and more all with historic Georgetown as its backdrop.  Debbie Young, Events Director, Georgetown Business Improvement District is in with all the deets.
