Owners Jo McDaniel and Rach Pike have opened a new queer dance bar and cafè, As You Are Bar, in the space formerly home to District Soul Food and Banana Cafè in Barracks Row. This space features two distinct areas within it: a daytime cafè and a nighttime lounge. The upstairs, features the dance floor and also has a back room featuring video games. Everyone is welcome in this inclusive space and McDaniel and Pike hope the space will be ideal for conversation and telework amongst guests.
