Chef Mike Friedman and his team have opened a second location of their popular focaccia sandwich shop, Fossette Focacceria, in Union Market. This new location brings with it two new sandwiches exclusively available at Union Market: Capra with prosciutto cotto, sopressata, pickled peppers, fresh basil, mozzarella, calabrian chili honey and Portofino with balsamic-marinated & roasted portobello mushrooms, roasted onions & peppers, crumbled feta, and herb aioli (Fossette Union Market's vegetarian offering). Fossette Focacceria's Union Market stall, situated between La Jambe and Yasmine, offers San Carlo chips and sodas for purchase alongside its focaccia sandwich menu. Currently, the Union Market location's menu will not include pastries and alcoholic beverages, which may be added later.
