Carey and Yuan Tang, the duo behind Rooster & Owl and Ellie Bird, have launched a new takeaway and delivery concept called Side Chick focused on bringing Asian American flavors to the nostalgia of fried chicken. Side Chick operates as a ghost kitchen out of Ellie Bird in Founder’s Row with no separate physical location. Side Chick focuses on the team’s fried chicken recipe with offerings of half chicken (four pieces) and whole chicken (eight pieces) plus chicken sandwiches, with three heat level options. Chicken orders come with bibingka, Filipino style cornbread, and guests are encouraged to try a variety of sides and sauces. The dessert menu includes takeaway pints of ice cream developed by executive pastry chef Corey Jamison, plus classic single-serving desserts with a twist. For more information, click here.
