A Very, Merry Adams Morgan
Celebrate the holiday season in Adams Morgan, the perfect place to shop, dine, and support local small businesses. Enjoy a variety of fun holiday activities and decor including an interactive light display, plenty of shops for all of your gift-giving needs, and restaurants galore - ideal for dine-in or at-home holiday feasts. The Adams Morgan Partnership Business Improvement District (BID) has launched a month-long interactive light display in the plaza at Columbia Road and Adams Mill Road, NW. While holiday shopping or enjoying a date night out in Adams Morgan, visitors can listen to holiday carolers in Dickensian costumes in the plaza on the following dates (weather permitting):

Sippin’ Santa Pops Up
A holiday oasis with over-the-top kitschy, festive décor and a themed cocktail menu, the Sippin’ Santa pops up at Archipelago on November 22nd. New drinks like the White Russian Christmas, Azul Navidad, Yule Log Grog, The Regifter, and Mistletoe-to-Toe. Bethesda’s Winter Wonderland
The Bethesda Urban Partnership kicks off the holiday season on Saturday, December 4 with a Winter Wonderland. The celebration features choral performances, a live ice sculpting presentation and more at The Streetery. Blocks of ice will be transformed into wintery works of art during the live ice sculpting presentation from followed by choral performances from area high school groups Additional activities include games, arts and craft activities for the kids, and food and beverages will be sold by Bethesda restaurants. It takes A Christmas Village
Christmas Village will sail back into Baltimore’s Inner Harbor in 2021. West Shore Park will be transformed into a traditional indoor and outdoor German Christmas Market. Opening on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25 through Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24, 2021, enjoy big holiday vibes with the return of the 30 foot tall Christmas Pyramid from the Ore Mountains, the 65 foot tall illuminated ferris wheel and the addition of a brand-new Christmas Village Carousel with horses and festive reindeer. 50+ local small businesses, makers, and international vendors, thousands of twinkling lights, photos with Santa Claus, appearances by Gingy the Gingerbread Man, and theme weekends with live entertainment. NEW: CityCenterDC’s Ice Maze 
CityCenterDC will continue the holiday celebrations in The Park at CityCenterDC with the return of its famous Ice Maze on December 10th-12th. The 2021 maze will be created with 130,000 pounds of ice, topping the maze’s record-breaking debut in 2019 by 20,000 pounds and making it the largest clear ice maze in the US. While this event is free and open to the public, CityCenterDC is encouraging visitors of the Ice Maze to make a donation to Children’s National Hospital Foundation and help spread the gift of giving in the community. The center will shatter its previous records with a 130,000-pound clear ice maze in The Park at CityCenterDC. The Illuminating Ice Maze will be lit with multicolored lights adding a dazzling rainbow of colors to the frosty maze. Open December 10th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and December 11th and 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

We're Going Downtown (Holiday Market)
The Downtown Holiday Market returns to the nation’s capital for its 17th year now through Thursday, December 23. The spacious, open-air market will take place in Penn Quarter, filling up two entire blocks of F Street NW, from 7th to 9th Streets, NW—steps away from the Capital One Arena and Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. Expect a range of family-friendly offerings including emerging artisan makers & crafters, returning favorite vendors, festive decor and lights, authentic German treats and local bites, and live entertainment on the main stage for over five weeks. NEW: Light It Up
The team at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC proudly continues Light Up The Season with holiday programming to bring light and joy to the children and their families who need it most. Patients at Children’s National collaborated with local designers to make unique trees and decorations that glow bright with a child’s imagination. View these incredible designs in the Hotel lobby through January 2, 2022. While viewing the trees, do not miss the vibrant holiday market on the front courtyard of Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC with market stalls featuring unique gifts and culinary offerings created by the Hotel craftspeople and local artisans. NEW: Georgetown Ice Skating Rink
It's just like riding a bike, if that were just like a baby deer trying to walk for the first time. Regain your ice legs at DC’s largest outdoor ice skating rink at The Washington Harbour, which in now for the 2021 - 2022 season!  Skating rentals are available every day until as late as 11 pm for both general admission and private events, including the holidays. Equipment will be disinfected after each 1.5-hour skating session, which won't improve your skills but will offer some peace of mind. Time to tee up those triple axels along the Potomac.

NEW: Merriment in Georgetown
Georgetown is celebrating the holiday season with Merriment in Georgetown – featuring gift guides, a holiday market, neighborhood bonfire, DC’s largest outdoor ice skating rink, holiday lights competition, cookie tour, and more, all season long. Highlights include the Holiday Market Fridays-Sundays through December 19 in the Four Seasons Hotel courtyard. Heurich House Christkindlmarkt
The Heurich House Museum’s Christkindlmarkt returns to the museum’s Castle Garden from Friday, December 3rd through Sunday, December 5th, 2021. DC holiday shoppers will stroll through a festive German-style market featuring dozens of local craftspeople and artisans who will sell their goods during this celebratory event. The market will highlight the historic revival of the Chr. Heurich Brewing Co.’s Senate Beer, with tastings, a mini outdoor exhibit, and newly released merchandise. Christkindlmarkt is the museum’s largest annual fundraiser and supports their Small Business Development Program. The museum is offering a “Holiday Cheer” ticket, which includes one alcoholic beverage from a curated menu featuring Senate Beer, Glühwein, and a selection of locally crafted drinks. Holiday Road in Virginia
The Holiday Road experience will expand to Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia from November 26th through January 2nd. The enchanting walking trail is illuminated with larger-than-life holiday light displays providing a safe and festive outing for guests of all ages. Guests will be transported into a winter wonderland complete with everything from the North Pole, Elf Village, Gingerbread Lane, light tunnels, Christmas tree forests, and more. Now through Decemberish - or whenever they take the decorations down-  the Manischewitz shall flow, the dreidels shall spin, and fun will be had by all. The year 5782, what a time to be alive! It’s been a tough 20 months, so it’s time for everyone to wash it away with a round on the Shotnorah. In honor of the Hanukkah holiday that involves actual fire, Ivy and Coney have latkes, sufgani-shots (jelly donut in shot form), and Manischewitz’s finest kosher wine. Latkes will be featured prominently as a reminder of the oil used to light the menorah, and the fact that fried foods truly are the tastiest. Maker's Made
Village at Leesburg opened a unique new retail experience for the holiday season, MADE Market. Opened until January 2 The MADE Market is an indoor artisan market that features local artists of many mediums including oil paintings, watercolor, and pastel. Some fine jewelers will have their creations available in the market. Ceramic and wood artisans, textile artists, fine crafters who make unique gift sets, handmade body care, and much more will also be available. Most of the artists are local to Loudoun County but there is also curated work from artists as far away as Utah and Michigan. Seasons Greetings at The Wharf
The holiday programming has begun at The Wharf and includes the return of The District’s Holiday Boat Parade, The Wharf Ice Rink and more. Light it Up
The larger-than-life light installation of Light Yards 2021 will feature illuminated, 22 feet tall trees trimmed top to bottom in holiday decor and festooned with lights that cast The Yards’ Sun Deck with beautiful, colored patterns. This light-filled wonderland is the perfect place for the whole family to get in the holiday spirit.
