In partnership with local distiller Cotton & Reed, Brookland’s Finest will celebrate the holiday season with weekly dinners inspired by the global heritage of the restaurant’s team members. Chef and co-owner Shannan Troncoso will feature an international menu inspired by team member recipes and traditions paired with cocktails from Cotton & Reed. On December 10th, the restaurant will celebrate Troncoso’s Italian heritage with classics such as Crispy Artichokes with garlic-lemon aioli, Stuffed Manicotti with almond pesto and spicy marinara, and Grandma Q’s Cannoli. Festive cocktails such as a Negroni, a Basito, and a spiked cider will accompany the dishes. On December 17th international holiday meal will celebrate El Salvador. You can enjoy Pulled Pork and Loroco Flower Pupusas paired with an Atole de Elote for their first course. The main course features both Chicken Tamales and Ground Beef Pasteles served with tomato sauce and a Cuba Libre. For dessert, enjoy a traditional Flan paired with a horchata. The special three-course menu with respective cocktail pairings will be available for $35.
