Capital Jewish Museum Presents a Comics and Community Family Day
575 3rd Street, NW Washington, DC 20001
The Lillian and Albert Small Capital Jewish Museum will host its Comics and Community Family Day program on Monday, November 11, from 9:30 am to 1 pm. The event will take place at the Museum which will be open, with extended hours, from 9:30 am to 6 pm. Tickets to the program are free but registration is encouraged. Families of all backgrounds are invited to join us and be inspired by authors and artists who express themselves using the creativity of comic books. Enjoy a creative workshop to write your own comic strip, design your own zine, discover unknown stories with the Super Scavenger Hunt, and read from a wide selection of comics and graphic novels available in the JewCE Kids Library. Of special note, hear from local author and pop culture archaeologist Marc Tyler Nobleman (he/him) about the secret origins of Batman. The full Museum will be open to the public, including the special exhibition JewCE: The Jewish Comics Experience! (separate ticket required). Click HERE for tickets.
